His Mercy is More
Welcome: James Booth, Director of Young Families
Scriptural Call to Worship & Prayer: Psalm 46
Leader: God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Congregation: Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.
Leader: There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.
Congregation: God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved; God will help it when the morning dawns.
Leader: The nations are in an uproar, the kingdoms totter; God speaks and the earth melts.
Congregation: The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
Leader: Come, behold the works of the Lord!
Congregation: God makes wars cease to the end of the earth; God breaks the bow, shatters the spear, and burns the shields with fire.
Leader: Be still, and know that the Lord is God!
Congregation: God is exalted among the nations; God is exalted in the earth.
Leader: The Lord of hosts is with us;
Congregation: The God of Jacob is our refuge.
In Christ Alone
The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;
of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God,
begotten of His Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light of Light,
very God of very God,
begotten, not made; being of one substance with the Father,
by whom all things were made:
who for us and for our salvation
came down from heaven,
and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary,
and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate.
He suffered and was buried;
and the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
and He shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead;
whose kingdom shall have no end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified;
who spoke by the prophets.
and we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins.
and we look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Westminster Shorter Catechism Q:20 & 21
Q. 20. Did God leave all mankind to perish in the estate of sin and misery?
A. God having, out of His mere good pleasure, from all eternity, elected some to everlasting life, did enter into a covenant of grace, to deliver them out of the estate of sin and misery, and to bring them into an estate of salvation by a Redeemer.
Eph. 1:4; Rom. 3:20-22; Gal. 3:21-22.
Q. 21. Who is the Redeemer of God’s elect?
A. The only Redeemer of God’s elect is the Lord Jesus Christ, Who, being the eternal Son of God, became man, and so was, and continues to be, God and man in two distinct natures, and one person, forever.
1 Tim. 2:5-6; John 1:14; Gal. 4:4;
Rom. 9:5; Luke 1:35; Col. 2:9; Heb. 7:24-25
Sermon: Pastor Brian Peterson
