Confession of Sin & Assurance of Pardon
“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.” — Psalm 51:17
Confession: Have mercy on us, O God, according to Your steadfast love. According to Your abundant mercy, blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquity, and cleanse us from our sin. We acknowledge our transgressions, and our sin is ever before us. Create in us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Assurance: “As far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.” — Psalm 103:12
Jesus Keep Me Near the Cross
The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell. The third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
