Welcome: Beth Baxley, Director of Children’s Ministry
Scriptural Call to Worship: Rejoice in the Steadfast Love of God
Pastor: Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
All Together: Behold, your King is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is He, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
Pastor: Oh sing to the Lord a new song, for He has done marvelous things!
The Lord has made known his salvation; He has revealed his righteousness in the sight of the nations.
All Together: He has remembered His steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Zechariah 9:9 Psalm 98:1-3
Rejoice the Lord is King, Psalm 130
Scripture: Psalm 130
1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord!
2 O Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy!
3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?
4 But with You there is forgiveness, that You may be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in His word I hope;
6 my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning.
7 O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord there is steadfast love, and with Him is plentiful redemption.
8 And He will redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
I Will Wait for You
Confession: The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God, the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth;
of all things visible and invisible.
And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God,
begotten of His Father before all worlds,
God of God, Light of Light,
very God of very God,
begotten, not made; being of one substance with the Father,
by whom all things were made:
who for us and for our salvation
came down from heaven,
and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary,
and was made man;
and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate.
He suffered and was buried;
and the third day He rose again according to the Scriptures,
and ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
and He shall come again, with glory, to judge both the living and the dead;
whose kingdom shall have no end.
And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son,
who with the Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified;
who spoke by the prophets.
and we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
we acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins.
and we look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.
