SPC Order of Worship

Christ the Lord is Risen Today

Welcome & Announcements: Pastor Brian Peterson

Scriptural Call to Worship: The Lordship of Christ

Pastor: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ!
According to His great mercy, He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
I Peter 1:3-5
Congregation: Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples! Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; tell of all His wondrous works!
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
Psalm 105:1-3
All Together: To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
I Timothy 1:17

Christ Our Hope In Life and Death

Heidelberg Catechism Q:1

Q. What is your only comfort in life and in death?
A. That I am not my own,1 but belong—body and soul, in life and in death2—to my faithful Savior, Jesus Christ.3 He has fully paid for all my sins with His precious blood,4 and has set me free from the tyranny of the devil.5 He also watches over me in such a way6 that not a hair can fall from my head without the will of my Father in heaven;7 in fact, all things must work together for my salvation.8 Because I belong to Him, Christ, by His Holy Spirit, assures me of eternal life9 and makes me wholeheartedly willing and ready from now on to live for Him.10
