Recognition of Renee Goldfinch and Beth Baxley
Please join us this Sunday, at the beginning of each worship service, as we plan to honor Mrs. Renee Goldfinch for her awesome and faithful service to our children. As Renee is leaving the position of Children’s Director at SPC so that she may have more time with her family, we will be welcoming Mrs. Beth Baxley, whom the Lord has called to the ministry of serving our children and their families.
New Children’s Director: Mrs. Beth Baxley
Hello, my name is Beth Baxley and I’ve been married to Terry Baxley, a retired PCA pastor, for the past thirty-four years. We have five grown children, two that are 30 years old and triplets that are twenty-seven. Terry and I met at Columbia Bible College where I received a degree in Bible Teaching. Originally, I told Terry that I didn’t want to have children because I wanted to invest my life in “ministry”…..how funny that sounds to me now!! God was gracious to lead me to HIS good plan, and I can easily say that our children have been my greatest ministry as well as my greatest platform for building relationships that have opened doors to ministry. God has given me a love for children and a passion to lead them to know and worship Christ. He gave me the opportunity to be the Children’s Ministry Director in our past church where I enjoyed developing a ministry team, teaching, organizing ministries and reaching out to the community. God has also given me a heart for parents in the tough job of raising kids. I am committed to praying for each family and desire to support t parents through prayer, encouragement, and godly resources. I am incredibly blessed to have this opportunity to serve and lead our children here at Surfside Pres!

Last week, our Youth Director James Booth, made arrangements with a youth group from West Virginia to give our youth room a facelift! The Christian Academy from Martinsburg, WV sent 19 HS seniors along with 6 chaperones to paint and clean our youth area. They did an awesome job. Here are some of the pics that show their work.
