olympion-2016-home-headerSurfside VBS Cancelled this Year:  We regret to inform our church body that the elders and pastors have decided that it would be best to cancel this year’s VBS.  Our VBS at SPC has always been a reflection of our church and our Children’s Ministry to the Grand Strand.   In the community, our events have a reputation for being sharp and offering the highest quality.  We also have a reputation for being a “safe” church, where parents have confidence that their children will have dependable supervision in a quality environment.  We want our events and ministries to continue to represent our church well.  However, due to where we are with current construction, we do not feel confident that we can do that this year.  In making the decision to cancel, we want you to know that this is no reflection on our staff, building committee, or builder.  They are all doing a terrific job and are working closely together.   Yet, after hearing these concerns from volunteers, leaders, and parents – we felt that discretion was the better part of valor.  Please continue to bear with us as we make adjustments during this time of transition.
